I firmly believe that you are an expert on yourself, and that you know yourself better than anyone. Therefore, I utilize an Integrated method in collaborating with you to come up with a specialized treatment plan for our work together. You will always be treated with respect and empathy and encouraged to grow in your autonomy, confidence, and sense of self. I will not shy away from challenging you to do inner-work that may pull you out of your comfort zone if it will help you to achieve your goals.
I have a diverse background and bring a lot of niche experience to the table. This includes working with all age groups and socioeconomic backgrounds. I am a US Army veteran, having served as an Arabic Linguist and Armor Officer. I am an accomplished pen, ink, and marker artist, and value all forms of creative expression. I have always been a strong advocate for social justice, and have over a decade of experience in the Civil Rights field.
I have an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a BS in Speech Communication. I believe these two disciplines give me exceptionally useful skills when working with you. My base for therapy is an Integrated Approach with a heavy use of Solution-Focused and Adlerian techniques. My approach when working with you will depend on your specific needs and will be based on our collaboration together.
