Sometimes we need another human to offer kindness, non-judgement, and listen to our stories while helping us move through the current heaviness in our life. I will utilize a framework that considers the past, present, and future, the conscious, and unconscious parts of you, your environment, culture(s), maybe religion and or spiritual journey(ies), and all of the other parts that make up you!
One way that I have always felt open to telling my own story is in a space that allows me the emotional safety to take my mask off and let my nervous system feel safe. I offer a safe space where you can feel at ease to be physically and emotionally comfortable while processing hard, joyous, painful, and exciting material in session. I bring laughter into the space, when appropriate, laughing together can be healing (it actually stimulates your vagus nerve). I also do my best to equip you with practices and techniques that you can take with you out into the world.
Overall I offer a practical, creative, and mindful approach.
For the majority of my life, I have been described as unique, eclectic, and eccentric. Eclectic therapy very much describes my style and approach. I combine Somatic techniques, Expressive Arts, Dream Work, Experiential therapies, Mindfulness techniques, and Guided Imagery with DBT and ACT. I often utilize Somatic Experiencing techniques such as tracking, mindfulness and imagery, and have also been known to integrate Qi Gong into sessions at times for nervous system regulation, grounding practice, and calm.
Most of the clients who choose to work with me are Neurospicy. I offer a lens in session that is informed by my lived experience as an AuDHD human and training that backs up my experience. This lens helps destigmatize Neurodiversity and validate lived experiences, build executive functioning skills, understand and brainstorm day to day accommodations for self, and learn more about PTSD, ADHD, and Autistic bodies + brains.
It would be an honor to hear and hold your stories, life experiences, and pain with you!
I integrate my undergraduate studies in Cultural Anthropology and Fine Arts into my work with a Social Work lens. I am LGBTQAI+2S, BIPOC, Neurodiverse, and all abilities affirming as well as Kink and Fat-positive. I focus on utilizing creative approaches, therapies, and techniques to help guide you in your personal healing journey. I work with individuals 18 years and older. My specializations include Addictions, Trauma, Religious + Cult Trauma and Deconstruction, Jungian frameworks, Anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Arts Based Therapeutic Interventions, & Intuitive Eating (HAES Model).
