Elia Storto, LCSW-A, LCAS-A

What to Expect in Therapy With Me

Let's be honest-life can get heavy. Between the mental load of everyday responsibilities, the pressure to "keep it all together," and the quiet struggles no one else sees, it's easy to feel exhausted, disconnected, or stuck. Maybe you're navigating anxiety, burnout, or substance use. Maybe you're a mother who's trying to show up for everyone else but feels like you're disappearing in the process. Or maybe you're neurodivergent-or supporting someone who is-and you're just trying to find your rhythm in a world that doesn't always make space for difference. I want you to know you are not alone and you don't have to carry it all.

I specialize in working with people who are juggling a lot- emotionally, mentally, and often silently. This includes mothers, professionals, neurodivergent adults (Austim, ADHD, etc.), and those exploring their relationship with substances. I offer a safe, judgement-free space where we can slow down, sort-through what's going on, and start focusing on you.

What Makes Me Different

I try to bring a mix of authenticity, empathy, and calm to sessions. I have a long standing passion for working with neurodivergent folks stemming back to high school. I understand that this does not make me an expert in your experience. However, I am comfortable with any number of things with which you are struggling. No matter how small or large we will work on it together.

Nuts and Bolts

I tailor my practices to what works best for you. I spend time focusing on empowerment-helping you better understand yourself, set boundaries, develop coping skills, and start feeling more in control of your life. I use a blend of evidence-based practices like CBT, mindfulness, DBT, and neurodivergent affirming approaches. Therapy isn't about fixing you, its' about helping you feel more empowered, supported, and heard.

My Education and Certifications

Masters in Social Work, Western Carolina University

Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in North Carolina

Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate in North Carolina

Availability

I currently have immediate availability for insurance and private pay clients. I see clients via telehealth (NC).
