Julia is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA # A181712) and a
Registered Art Therapist (ATR # 19-469) who brings warmth, creativity, and authenticity into her work with clients. She believes that healing begins in a safe, supportive relationship—and that both words and creative expression can offer powerful paths to growth.
Julia blends traditional talk therapy with art therapy to meet each client where they are. Her approach is person-centered and humanistic, grounded in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based practices, self compassion and body image work. She integrates wellness strategies, strengths-based interventions, and expressive techniques to help clients deepen self-awareness, process emotions, and move toward meaningful change.
Julia has experience working across levels of care—from inpatient and residential to outpatient settings—with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, disordered eating, and life transitions. She is a proudly LGBTQIA+ and transgender-affirming therapist who is committed to creating inclusive, nonjudgmental spaces where all identities are welcomed, respected, and celebrated. Whether a client prefers verbal reflection, creative exploration, or embodied mindfulness, Julia honors each individual’s unique voice and healing journey.
She holds a BFA from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s in Art Therapy and
Counseling from Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Julia is passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves and discover new ways to heal and thrive—through conversation, creativity, or both. Julia welcomes individuals from all walks of life and is especially attuned to creating a space that supports authenticity, empowerment, and self-compassion.
Whether you're looking to process past pain, build emotional resilience, or simply feel more present and aligned in your daily life, Julia is honored to walk alongside you on that journey.
Julia currently has immediate availability for insurance and private pay clients. Julia sees clients in-person in Raleigh and via telehealth (NC).
